My Journey Into Deer Stalking

Let me introduce myself, My name is Emily and no im not an actual duchess. Its a nickname that has stuck and i just happen to love field sports that include deer stalking.

When people talk about stalking they automatically think its a bad thing and is associated with weird people following you round. im want to squash that thought as its not always that bad. In this instance is more of a management thing that also puts a sustainable meat source into our food chain.

Deer numbers in this country are increasing and there is no natural predators to keep the deer population in check. this mean more collisions and more habitat damage for farmer and green land/forest alike. a heard of deer can cause catastrophic damage. have you ever seen new trees planted with a tube around them? to protect from deer is one of the reasons.

Also collisions with deer add a percentage to our insurance premiums and in this day and age we need to save every penny.
